Since 1960, the American Public Works Association has sponsored National Public Works Week.
The City of Cedar Hill Public Works Department will use this week to educate the public on the importance of the contribution of public works to their daily lives: planning, building, managing and operating the heart of our local communities and building the quality of life.
Current Public Outreach campaigns include:
Fight the Bite -
a mosquito control & West Nile awareness campaign
Don't Duck Your Responsibilities -
ongoing efforts to prevent stormwater pollution
Water Conservation -
ongoing efforts to educate and involve the community regarding water conservation efforts
